Chablis Shabby Day

Chablis Shabby Day
She put down the Chablis and took off her bra "Fuck their shabby politics, let's go to bed, we'll show them how to screw a country!". She poured the remains of the wine down the back of the flat screen and watched the digital workings spark and strike. Clarissa wasn't shabby, she had balls where no one had balls - in the guts of her soul. Sometimes the world was full of shit and sometimes the most refined human beings had to pull the chain on it and flush away the stink. Clarissa wasn't subtle in her lovemaking and the world had pushed her to speaking her mind. Politics was a male contrivance, a masculine knitting pattern, a stitch up, a needle in a haystack, so much wool over sheepish eyes. Clarissa screamed the place down, the springs rocked, she was paying the rent with her stress, she was eating worry beads in place of food, she was driven to despair in a bailiff's truck, she was faking her debt demands. The world was a cold shower, a complete turn off. She'd stumbled on redundancy, smarting from benefit cuts, exposed by an eviction order. The world had nothing left to give, a boarded up Mega Store, wound up, wound down and liquidated but Clarissa was fighting fit "When you got nothing left to lose.." she'd say. It was a shabby old world but it could scrub up well if the hacks got out of the way. Clarissa took a shower, dressed and changed her name to Alison - she was hatching a plan that even the Town Cryer could not comprehend - meanwhile in an Imperial Bedroom, somewhere no one could imagine, a strange doll appeared out of nowhere....
